Biography

Dr. Xuebo Pan, Doctor of Plant Science, is an Associate Professor and Specially-Appointed Researcher at Wenzhou Medical University. He is also a doctoral advisor for international students and has served as a visiting scholar at the University of Hong Kong. In 2019, Dr. Pan was recognized as one of the first batch of "Wenzhou Outstanding Young Talents in Science and Technology Innovation".

Dr. Pan actively contributes to the academic community, serving as a reviewer for journals such as the British Journal of Pharmacology and Frontiers. He is also a member of the second and third sessions of the Translational Medicine Professional Committee of the Wenzhou Physiological Science Society and the Wenzhou Young Scientists Association.

In recent years, Dr. Pan has published 29 research papers in SCI-indexed journals, with 12 papers as the first or corresponding author in prestigious journals such as:

· Cell Metabolism (IF 27.7)

· Small (IF 13.0)

· Redox Biology (IF 10.7)

· International Journal of Cancer (IF 5.7)

His publications have been cited over 1,267 times, with a single paper receiving 237 citations. Dr. Pan has led and participated in 10 National Natural Science Foundation of China projects, hosted one Outstanding Youth Project of the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province, and received:

· A Third-Prize Award for Zhejiang Science and Technology Progress

· A Second-Prize Award for Zhejiang Medical and Health Science and Technology

Research Interests

Dr. Pan has dedicated the past decade to clinical and basic research on metabolic and cardiovascular diseases, with a focus on the following areas:

1. Pathogenesis and regulatory networks of diseases such as hypertension, atherosclerosis, myocardial infarction, and metabolic-associated fatty liver disease.

2. Investigating the roles of fibroblast growth factor 21, arachidonic acid metabolism, and free fatty acid metabolism in metabolism and cardiovascular diseases.

3. Identifying important mechanisms and potential therapeutic targets for metabolic and cardiovascular diseases.
