Professor Zhu Jingxu's Brief Introduction

Zhu Jingxu, a dual fellow of the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Engineering, is a globally renowned leader in the field of particle science. He has been honored with over 20 prestigious international awards, recognizing his outstanding contributions. Prof. Zhu was the first to establish a particle technology research center in North America, consistently pioneering new trends in particle science and fluidization research. With over 500 high-quality publications and a legacy of mentoring over 260 graduate students, Ph.D. candidates, and postdoctoral fellows, he has significantly contributed to the growth of the next generation of scholars.

Within the pharmaceutical industry, Prof. Zhu has made groundbreaking achievements. His innovations in ultrafine particle pulmonary delivery and dry powder coating technologies have ushered in unprecedented advancements, earning him over 550 patents. His long-standing commitment to the research of "ultrafine particle pulmonary delivery" has led to close collaborations with international pharmaceutical giants such as GlaxoSmithKline. Together, they have successfully developed a dry powder inhalation technology platform, propelling the growth of the Dry Powder Inhalation sector and earning Prof. Zhu over 50 international patents in the process.
