Biography
Dr. Wang Fangyan is an Associate Professor at Wenzhou Medical University and serves as the executive director of the Research Institute of Microbiota and Host Inflammation-related Diseases. He holds both a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Ph.D. degree and is an academic and professional master’s student supervisor and doctoral advisor for international students. Dr. Wang has been a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). He also serves as a committee member of the Nutrition and Food Branch of the Chinese Gerontological Society, the Tumor Nutrition Professional Committee of the Chinese Anti-Cancer Association, and the Microbiota Medical Professional Committee of the China Science and Technology Industry Promotion Association. Dr. Wang has published over 20 SCI-indexed papers as the first author or corresponding author, with a cumulative impact factor exceeding 120. He has participated in 5 national-level projects, led 2 provincial, 4 municipal, and 3 industrial projects, and successfully transferred 2 patents. In the field of education, Dr. Wang has edited one textbook and co-edited four others. His research focuses on microbiota and inflammation-related diseases, specifically exploring the pathogenesis and prevention strategies for neurological, respiratory, and digestive system diseases. Recently, Dr. Wang’s group has focused on the development of inhalants and investigating the role of microbiota in the pathogenesis of diseases, with an emphasis on developing reliable treatment solutions.
