Biography

Dr. Xiang-Yang Xue is a distinguished full professor at Wenzhou Medical University, where he also serves as the dean of the School of Basic Medical Sciences. He is an advisor for both doctoral and postdoctoral candidates and is recognized as a talent at the provincial and ministerial level. Dr. Xue has furthered his expertise as a visiting scholar at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI).

Dr. Xue’s research laboratory is focused on the molecular and genetic foundations of cancer and autoimmune diseases, particularly investigating the molecular mechanisms of viral infections and their link to tumorigenesis. His work has led to over 30 peer-reviewed publications in esteemed journals such as elife and PLoS Pathogens. Dr. Xue has been awarded the first prize for scientific and technological advancement in Zhejiang Province. His research is supported by the National Natural Science Foundation, the Key Research and Development Program in Zhejiang Province, and the Natural Science Foundation of Zhejiang Province.

In addition to his academic leadership, Dr. Xue is actively involved in academic organizations, serving as the vice president of the Immunology Committee of Zhejiang Province and holding key positions in various provincial-level academic committees.
