Biography:

Dr. Jianzhang Wu is a highly esteemed professor and postdoctoral fellow at the Houston Methodist Research Institute affiliated with Cornell University. He serves as the academic leader at Wenzhou Medical University Affiliated Ophthalmology Hospital and is recognized as a leading innovative talent in Zhejiang Province's universities. Dr. Wu has presided over 6 national and provincial research projects and has published over 60 SCI papers, including 22 in the top tier of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. His work has appeared in professional authoritative journals such as J Med. Chem, J Nat. Prod., Green Chem., Org. Lett., Acta Pharm. Sin. B, and Eur. J. Med. Chem. Dr. Wu has obtained 18 authorized invention patents, 1 international PCT patent, and 1 US patent. He has received 2 provincial and ministerial-level awards and 3 municipal and departmental-level awards. Dr. Wu places a strong emphasis on the cultivation of high-quality graduate students and has mentored 10 students who have received national scholarships or have been recognized as outstanding graduates at the provincial level. He has also guided undergraduate students to win 1 national first prize in the "Challenge Cup" (the first for WMU) and 5 provincial awards.
