Institution: Wenzhou Medical University
Biography
Dr. Gao Jimin is a Leading Talent in Zhejiang Province and a Qianjiang-endowed Professor at Wenzhou Medical University. He holds a Bachelor's and Master's degree from the First Military Medical University (1986 and 1989) and a Ph.D. from the Fourth Military Medical University (1994). His primary research focuses on the pathogenesis, immunological diagnosis, and treatment of inflammation-related diseases, such as tumors. He has won several prestigious awards, including the first prize of the Zhejiang Provincial Science and Technology Award and the second prize of the PLA Science and Technology Progress Award.
Dr. Gao has led nine national scientific research projects and published over 148 SCI papers, including in journals like Science, with 88 of them as the (co-)corresponding author. He holds 28 patents, 10 of which have been granted. He was awarded the first prize of the Zhejiang Science and Technology Award in 2013 for his project on the "Cell surface-modified tumor cell vaccine". Dr. Gao also developed the recombinant human G-CSF injection, which received national approval in 1998 and generated over 100 million yuan in profits by 2010. He has contributed to several academic textbooks and overseen national-level courses in immunology and clinical immunological testing.
His recent research focuses on CAR-T, CAR-NK, Hi-TCR-T therapies, and tumor cell vaccines immobilized on the surface of tumor cell membranes. His work spans the development of lentiviral preparation processes, immune cell expansion, and clinical trials, placing his group at the forefront of global immune cell therapy research.
