Dear Students,
The student evaluation of teaching is a crucial component of the university's overall teaching quality assessment and an important part of teaching quality control. In order to further implement and execute the teaching evaluation system and promote the steady improvement of teaching quality, we have undergone preliminary informatization construction and data collection. The university will continue to comprehensively carry out student evaluations of teaching through the "Teaching Quality Evaluation System" (hereinafter referred to as the "Evaluation System") this semester. The following are the relevant matters for your attention:
I. Evaluation Requirements
Students participating in the evaluation should approach the task with a sense of responsibility to the university 's teaching quality and to themselves. You should treat the evaluation objectively, fairly, and justly, maintain the seriousness and authority of the work, and ensure its credibility. Students should score based on the evaluation index system, the actual teaching level and effects, and should not evaluate on behalf of others. Evaluations must be completed before the deadline.
Note: Failure to complete the teaching evaluation before the deadline will affect the ability to view final exam results.
II. Evaluation Scope
This semester's evaluation includes all teaching of international student courses, teaching faculty or teachers, course materials, and resources.
III. Participants in the Evaluation
International undergraduate students from the batch of 2020 to 2024.
IV. Evaluation Deadline
The deadline for teaching evaluations for this semester is January 5, 2024 (Sunday).
Note: For courses that end after the 17th week, please make sure to log back into the evaluation system after the course ends and before the deadline to confirm if there are any courses’s teaching evaluations that have not been completed, and complete and submit them as soon as possible.
V. Use of Evaluation Results
The results of student evaluations of teaching are an important basis for assessing the teaching quality of teachers and provide significant data reference for teacher performance assessments, evaluations for excellence, awards, and professional title assessments. To diversify the evaluation of teaching and to improve the accuracy and scientificity of student evaluation results, from this semester onwards, the evaluation scores from all students will account for 80% of the total teaching evaluation score for teachers.
