  • Just as spring is full of new life so is the youth of our School of International Studies.

On the occation of our 10th anniversary we are impressed at how it has developed not only in size but also in fame. The number of overseas students is now about 755, coming from 56 countries such as India, Mauritius, America, and Russia. For the last 10 years it has been ranked as one of the prestigious schools in the top Colleges of Zhejiang province. The School of International Studies succeeded in expanding in size and diversifying its educational programs. We focused on improving upon our management style. We have successfully launched academic exchanges with the intention of absorbing the talents and quality teaching resources from all over the world. Our goal is to guarantee an excellent quality of education for the molding of our students and to better and brighten their future. The school is also dedicated to promoting Chinese Traditional Medicine and its customs. Our idea is to enhance the world's understanding of China by establishing two Confucius Institutes in Burapha University, Thailand as well as in College of Optometry of State University of New York, U.S.A. The Ministry of Education of China listed Wenzhou Medical University among the first batch institutions of higher education that are qualified for running MBBS program for foreign students in English. On the national level, WMU received the title “Foreign Students Education Spearhead Award” in the year 2009 and 2014. WMU also received its academic credential to enroll Chinese National Scholarship for Foreign Students recipients in 2011.The joint establishment of Huatuo Institute with the Medical University of Lublin in Poland was approved in Feb. 2016 and enrolled overseas students in WMU-MUL Dual MBBS Program (1+3+2) in Oct. 2016. A great achievement cannot be accomplished in a short time and time will be able to tell what the achievements of the School of International Studies are. Even though we are a young school, we hope this pamphlet will provide a snapshot of what is going on here. We want to give a small glimpse of the hard work we have jointly done with the college authorities, the faculty and staff. We'd like to take this opportunity to express our sincere appreciation to everyone who has made a contribution in each step we have taken forward in the School of International Studies.
