  • Requirements of Chinese Language Proficiency for International Students at Wenzhou Medical University

  • In order to further standardize the teaching management of international students,according to the document " Standards of Higher Education Quality for International Students in China (Trial) (Ministry of Education [2018]No. 50), "Regulations for the Management of International Students in Areas of International Student Status " (Wenzhou Medical University [2017] No.101), "Regulations of Wenzhou Medical University on Degree Awarding “(Wenzhou Medical University[2011]No.102,the university has set Chinese language proficiency requirement for international students,the requirement are as follow:

    1.undergraduate with major where English is the teaching language:

    MBBS

    Before graduation, students are required to obtain HSK4 or above (score 180 or above), and the school will no longer organize the Chinese proficiency test for graduates

    2020

    BDS

    2020,2021,2022,2023...

    MBBS

    Only after the students completes a required HSK4 or above(score 180 or above) can he/she enters internship .Those who fail to pass the HSK4 will not be allowed to start the internship. They need to go through the suspension procedures . After passing the HSK4, they will be uniformly arranged by the school to start the internship.

    2021,2022,2023...

    BDS

    2.Undergraduates and postgraduates with major where Chinese is the teaching language are required to obtain HSK5 or above (score 180 or above)

    3.Postgraduates with major where English is the teaching language are required to obtain HSK3 or above (score 180 or above)

    4. International Students not mentioned above shall be follow the original regulations.

    5.International students who do not meet the language requirements are not allowed to apply for graduation.

    6.The right of explanation of the regulations belongs to the School of International Studies.
