On 23rd November 2012 the proud representatives of the School of International Studies received first prize in the Dubbing Competition of 2012 held by Wenzhou Medical College.

The members of the group comprised of Sameer Edun, Kashish balluck, Vinesh Lutchooman, Arvind Boodhoo and  Bhawneeta Nugasur, as narrator of the dubbing. The subject of the  competition which included over a hundred participants, was “The three little pigs”.

The best speaker was awarded to Sameer Edun. Their participation and win is a prime example of foreign students excelling in the Chinese language. Apart from being part time competition winners, the group members have also excelled in their medical studies. Overall, the group’s excellent skills in the Chinese language is a testimony to the junior batches that the Chinese language more often seen as an obstacle in the way of their medical studies, is in fact a useful tool to be wielded with skill as long as effort and practice is put in.
