  • The School of International Studies at Wenzhou Medical University recently hosted the inaugural episode of the MedJourney series, designed to offer international medical students a thorough understanding of global medical licensing requirements. The first episode, titled "Global Medical Licensing Examinations: Comprehensive Guide for MBBS/BDS Graduates," was presented by Dr. Suwas Bhandari and Dr. Kendrick Hii Ru Yie.

    Dr. Bhandari, a PhD, MD, and MBBS graduate, shared his expertise on the licensing processes for the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia. His segment focused on the USMLE, PLAB, and AMC exams, offering valuable insights into the examination structure, application procedures, and key strategies for success in these regions. Dr. Bhandari emphasized the importance of clinical knowledge, credential verification, and thorough preparation to meet the high standards required for medical practice in these countries.

    Meanwhile, Dr. Kendrick Hii Ru Yie, presented the processes for Morocco, Ghana, and Jamaica. His session provided in-depth information on the licensing requirements in these nations, covering topics such as degree authentication, language proficiency, and the specific licensing examinations for each country. Dr. Kendrick’s segment was particularly helpful for students planning to practice in regions where unique regional requirements, like language proficiency in French or Arabic, play a crucial role.
