1. Admission Category

Master's Degree and PhD students

2. Application requirements

1) Applicants applying for master's degree: Non-Chinese citizens who are under 35 years old, undergraduate graduates, have a bachelor's degree or above, are in good health, have good conduct, and holding a valid ordinary foreign passport.

2) Applicants applying for doctoral degree: Non-Chinese citizens under 40 years old, master's degree graduates, have master's degree or above, in good health, good conduct, and holding a valid ordinary foreign passport.

3. Application materials (* are compulsory)

Applicants must truthfully fill in and upload the following application materials in the online registration system:

1. Chinese Government Scholarship Application Form

2. *Passport

3.*Graduation certificate, degree certificate, and transcript of the highest academic degree (An applicant who is a current university student shall submit the certificate of expected graduation or student status issued by his/her university)

4. * Resume and study plan in China（Attachment 1 for reference）

5. * Two recommendation letters (issued by professors or associate professors and must be signed by the recommender or stamped with the official seal of the recommending unit)

6. * Foreigner Physical examination form (Attachment 2)

7. *Non-criminal certificate

8. *Two-inch white background photo

9. Proof of language proficiency(Students pursuing professional degrees need to provide HSK4 certificate when applying)

4. Scholarship

Chinese Government Scholarship

1. Chinese Colleges and Universities Independent Enrolment Project (Type B)

Including "high-level graduate" projects, "Silk Road" projects, etc.

Full scholarship content:

1) Free tuition fee

2) The school provides free dormitories or provides accommodation fee supports

3) Living expenses standards:

      Master’s Degree: 3000 RMB/month

      Doctoral Degree: 3500 RMB/month

4) Comprehensive medical insurance

1) Log in to the China Scholarship Council’s online registration system for studying in China（https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn） , register and upload application materials. (Wenzhou Medical University code is 10343, project type: B)

2) Log in to the Wenzhou Medical University International Student Service Platform （https://wmu.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx）, register and upload application materials.

(Students must apply for registration in both systems at the same time. The registration statistics path shall be based on the school’s international student service platform)

2. Country projects (Type A)

The program accords with the cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached by the Chinese government and the governments and institutions of other nations. An applicant shall file an application with the dispatching department of their home countries.

Wenzhou Medical University Scholarship

1) Master’s degree : free tuition fee, accommodation and other expenses are at your own expense;

2) Doctoral degree : free tuition fee, living allowance of RMB 3,000 per month during the study period, accommodation and other expenses are at your own expense;

3) Master & Doctoral Degree: Free tuition fee and university offers living allowance (CNY 2,500 per month for master’s duration and CNY 3,000 per month for doctoral duration), and other fees shall be paid by the applicants. ;

5. Related costs

1) Tuition fees: Master’s students: RMB 42,000/year; Doctoral students: 50,000 RMB/year

2) Insurance: 800 RMB/year

3) Accommodation: 4000 RMB/year

6. Application period

First batch: December 15^th of 2023 to January 15^th of 2024 (Chinese Government Scholarship, high-level graduate programs)

Second batch: December 15^th of 2023 to April 15^th of 2024 (Wenzhou Medical University Scholarship)

The third batch: to be determined

8. Admission and notification

1) The school admissions department will conduct a preliminary review of the application materials.

2) Each professional college will organize re-examinations (comprehensive interview, Chinese proficiency test)

3) After the re-examination results are reviewed and announced by the School of International Studies of Wenzhou Medical University, the school will notify the admitted candidates and issue relevant admission materials such as the "Admission Notice" and "Visa Application Form for Foreign Students Studying in China" (JW202 Form).
